New Studio Design for Carolyn Vaughn Photography

families

At long last I can finally share my newly redesigned sitting room at my Valley Junction studio! As you may know I’ve had a lovely working relationship with Meghan Blum Interiors for several years now. So often, I get to “ooooh” and “aaah” over Meghan’s work as I photograph her finished projects. When I decided that the sitting area at my studio needed a little facelift, I knew Meghan (and her team) were just the ladies I needed.

The Before

The sitting area before was adequate but lacked personality and didn’t really reflect my elegant, light-filled style. I wanted something soft and timeless, yet could truly be a place for my clients to relax and feel comfortable.

The Process

Erin Matzen pulled together the perfect mood board to jump start this project. Her mix of soft colors and the creative use of pattern and texture were spot-on for this space. I also knew I needed to be able to incorporate my product offerings into this space so clients could see and touch my heirloom-quality albums and artistry prints.

The Reveal

Now for the big reveal! I couldn’t be more thrilled with how this space turned out! It is everything I hoped it would be (and more) and is the perfect place to showcase my products. The mixture of soft colors, metallic, print and texture is just spot on. Of course, I would expect nothing less from Meghan. After photographing so many of her clients dream spaces, I am delighted to have my very own MBI designed space.

Chest: Hooker Furniture
Cocktail Table: Sherrill Occasional Furniture
Drink Table: Global Views
Pillows: Willa Skye Home

I have to give Meghan and Erin the hugest shout out for their wonderful work. These gals definitely know what they are doing and are true creative professionals. If you are ever in need of design services, Meghan Blum Interiors is your first call!
